Everybody has an opinion about remote work for people over 50. Very few of them show you a number and tell you where it came from.

This report does. Every quarter I pull the same figures from the same published sources, line them up, and tell you plainly what moved. It’s 8 pages, and it’s free.

What’s inside:

  • How many workers 55 and older work from home, and how that compares to everyone else
  • How many are fully remote, including the gap between women and men 55 and older
  • What the job market looks like right now: how many postings are fully on-site, hybrid or remote
  • Which remote fields are growing fastest
  • What the numbers say about age, disability and AI, and what they can’t tell you
  • A table showing exactly who each number covers, so you don’t read more into it than it says
  • The sources for every figure, with the data month

Who it’s for: anyone 50 or older who is job hunting, thinking about a change, or trying to hold on to a remote arrangement they already have, and who wants the real picture before spending another week on applications.

What it is not: it’s not a survey of my own, and it doesn’t sell you a promise. It compiles and compares published government and industry data, and it tells you what the numbers can’t. The BLS reports workers 55 and older, not 50 and older, and the report says so wherever it matters.

This edition: Q4 2026, with data through September 2026. The next report is planned for January 2027.
